Our Programs

INTERNATIONAL PEER MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATES (PMHAs)

Our core idea is simple: people who have lived experience with mental illness can offer a specific, unique, culturally and socially relevant, and accessible type of mental health care-- known as peer support.

community education & speaking

A major goal for Project LETS is to democratize medical knowledge. We love sharing history, information, resources, and ideas; and have a wide variety of offerings for our community.

All workshops and speaking engagements are offered on a sliding-scale basis. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and we will work together with your community to decide on a budget that works for everyone.

High School & College Chapters

Project LETS Chapters are a network of students on college and university campuses that exist to embody the mission, vision, and goals of Project LETS. Through: organized meetings; activities, discussions, panels and workshops led by students with lived experience; advocacy efforts and political change; and peer counseling programs - each chapter serves as a voice of resistance, hope, and support for students and their surrounding communities.

LETS PROVIDER COLLECTIVE (LPC)

The LPC brings together culturally and socially responsive mental health providers to develop a community-based crisis response network that functions as an alternative to calling 911.

PROJECT LETS CONFERENCE

We are proud & excited to announce our first annual conference, “Building Peer Support Services in University Mental Health Care Systems;” which will be held in Providence, Rhode Island from October 6-9th, 2017.

SELF-HARM INITIATIVE

Mail us your tools-- your razors, your safety pins, your scissors. Write a letter; get it all out. Send it all away ... & await a letter documenting just how proud of you we are.

NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION COMMUNITY MEMORIALS

Each Fall, Project LETS chapters & community groups organize Suicide Prevention Memorials -- creating safer and welcoming spaces for folks to share their experiences with suicide and loss.
