Join Project LETS for a (free) in-person* afternoon clinic to learn about Advance Directives and have the space to begin creating your own - all while being surrounded by other Disabled and/or Mad kin.

If there’s one thing we know as Disabled folks, it’s that there will always be someone that thinks that they know what’s best for us, what we need, what we should/shouldn’t try, and what types of lives we should/shouldn’t live.

Society (including doctors, family members, friends and strangers) leverage ableism to justify making decisions for us and about us. We, as Disabled folks deserve autonomy and self-determination, even (and especially) in moments of medical and/or psychiatric crisis.

*While this event is in-person, we hope to host future clinics virtually!

What is an advance directive?

Advance Directives are legal tools that can be useful in preserving autonomy, preferences, boundaries, and desires that you wish to be respected during a medical or psychiatric crisis.
